Approach

The survey involved six components: identifying stakeholders (government, private industries, academics, NGOs, and the press), design and development, a desktop literature and internet study, individual interviews, analysis of  returned questionnaires, and preparing a report

Two questionnaires were used:

  • A generic questionnaire designed by IIED – to gather information from a variety of stakeholders from different sectors;
  • A locally-designed questionnaire – to derive information from specific stakeholders on the application of tools, tactics and approaches in environmental mainstreaming.
